Don't remind me.. I managed to destroy two (2) floppy drives last month when 
I tried to convert them from DS1 to DS0 using a soldering iron. Once the SMT 
pads have come completely lose from the board :-( the drive seems wasted.

In the end, I traded some to me useless Amiga games for an Amiga 500 floppy 
drive and gave up on the experiments with PC floppy drives. I still have 1-2 
drives for spare parts to use in PC computers.
