Yes, I did get an ARM7 off Sprow. Will they use different coding/ programs
than the original?


Well if anyone finds copies of the Manuals that came with the original ARM
Evaluation could they email them please...

Was there a favoured/ most popular book/ manual for assembly language used
on the ARM at the time??

You know, I did find an email the other week about that - I know we were 
talking about my borrowing them at one point (and I think this was the latter 
half of the 90s, so a while ago :-) but I don't think it ever quite happened 
(ISTR having no car at the time, so doing anything involving any distance was 
a pain) 

[I've also found that four years ago Kevan should have had a set of copied AEK 
disks for me ferried from you... I'll have to give him a prod and see if he 
still has them ;) ]

Indeed... end of 2003... 

You know, I'm reasonably sure that Acorn had a C compiler for the AEK, at 
least internally; I swear I've stumbled across some info on it before (or at 
the very least it was being thought about). I suppose there's a chance I'm 
getting muddled with the Springboard, though. 

C++ compiler though, I doubt it (although there was a C++ compiler for the 
RISC PC machines, wasn't there?). Peter said 'ARM7', whilst Jon brought up the 
AEK - does 'ARM7' mean Sprow's modern-day ARM copro rather than Acorn's own 
offering? (And are we merging two different topics into one here? :-)
