Subject: : What's this plug on the back of a Master?

Whilst at a BBC yoof project, I noticed on a trolley load of what looked
like junk a couple of Beebs at the bottom.
I was all ready to rescue them, but was told that they were for some
kids' musical project - where they took them to bits to make 'electronic
instruments' out of them... I wasn't convinced!

But what appeared to be a Master had this plug on the back which I
hadn't seen before.
I'm sure it's quite common tho - anyone know what it is? And the BNC
next to it...?

Cheers
Tim.
