Subject: 3.5' Drives (Again..)

If the 5.25 drive is to be used as drive 0 and 3.5 drive as drive one does
the terminating resistor still need to be removed from the 5.25 drive? Does
anything need to be done to the old 720K 3.5" drive in this configuration?
What would happen if the term resis. isn't removed(more detail than it will
go faulty please)?
Does it matter where on the cable the drives are placed eg should the 3.5
drive be placed further from the bbc connection than the 5.25 drive?

up from Ebay - they usually go for under ?5.It's easy to see where DS0 and
DS1 are on the drive's PCB - put a jeweller's flat bladed screwdriver against
the solder blob for DS1, smack the end lightly with a hammer, off comes
the solder with no damage to the PCB. Put a new blob of solder over holes
for DS0. Takes about 5 mins, very easy to do.Also this might be of some interest:
