Right, I've got a good set [1] of R10 (i.e. 1.10) and have done an install
from that. Just backing up the hard drive at the mo.

[1] Actually two merged sets; what I though was R12 turned out to be R10 too.
But one set had a dodgy 'C' disk and the other a dodgy LISP disk, so I've
merged the two.

I'll see if I can stuff the images of them online later this evening.

Ooh, interesting. That one reports itself as 1.4 - I'm not sure I've ever come
across a PANOS release with such a high version (the machine that drive came
from had a serial number in the 70s I think - presumably one of the last ones
built)

Not sure about that, but I stuck a 14MHz crystal into a 'broken' 1MB board,
and it still inits and gives the Pandora message. Unfortunately that board's
got a RAM or bus fault (it variously reports anything between 0K and 4GB of
memory at start up :-) and also a TUBE ULA which only works (badly) once
warmed up - so it's not exactly a viable board to do any stability tests with.

Plus I wouldn't want to overclock the board and run it for any length of time
without adding some sort of cooling...

I *might* talk myself into overclocking a good 1MB board - if anything dies
it's likely to be the CPU or support chips, and I can always pilfer
replacements from the broken board if needs be.

cheers

Jules
