The Acorn AKF18 (14" multisync monitor supplied with the A5000 and A4000) was
famous for setting itself on fire.  Mine only made a loud bang and smoked
when it failed, but I had to have it repaired 3 times before they finally
made a modification that fixed it.  It's still working now though, being used
with my Master and Risc PC (for games that require 50Hz "TV" modes).
