All you need to use a second processor is a ROM with the "TUBE host
code" in it. The DNFS has this code. IIRC, the code is installed at
&0D00 if a second processor is detected.
As JGH says, the DNFS is of no use in your B+ as it is for an 8271 disc
controller; your machine has the 1770 controller. However, the Tube
code should still work, I think.
Try disconnecting the Winchester - is the second processor now found?
