Produced by MRM I think. I used their E00 DFS for a while. It was very
Acorn compatible and worked with many copy protected games. IIRC, it
has a limitation of a maximum of 4 open files (c.f. 5 for Acorn DFS.)

It was originally supplied on a carrier board with a static RAM chip.
The DFS ROM was mapped into the lower 8K and the RAM chip into the upper
8k. The RAM chip may only have been 4K tho. The DFS uses that RAM for
its workspace.
MRM's E00 DFS will work fine in a sideways RAM slot with writes enabled.

Snap :) it was very useful.

8271.
