Just in case anyone /is/ stupid enough to try this at home. a 6264 SRAM,
soldered on top of the PROM, with one gate of a 7404 inverting the
highest address bit worked great for me for various things.

HOWEVER.. I can't remember how i got _WR_ to the RAM.. Might have been a
flying wire from the 6502, and I might have had to drop that through
(sequentially) two gates of the 7404 to compensate for propagation delay
on the rest of the board or somesuch.

The memory is fuzzy.. Mine I mean, not the ROM/SRAM.. :-/
