I'm guessing that the problem is the usual thing with some PCs not
being capable of reading or writing single-density FM floppies - the
kind that DFS uses. If your setup works with ADFS disks (which are
double-density MFM disks), then this is likely the problem.
If you have access to any other machines, try Omniflop on them. I
recently swapped the motherboard on my work PC due to a sound problem.
This broke the FM floppy support, so I put the old board back in and
it works fine again.
I may have mentioned this already, but might it be a good idea to
start a list of known-good motherboards that support FM floppies?
