I'm fairly certain that the SHIFT thing only relates to when screen
paging is turned on. The only way to continue when the print buffer is
full, is to switch the printer on (!) or hit Escape. CTRL-C (i.e. VDU
3) won't make it continue, but it will reverse the effect of VDU 2
(and hence CTRL-B), which can be done after hitting Escape.
