It's not a bad one to start with. It's the easiest to connect up, as it has
both VGA connectors and RF out, so you can use a monitor or TV. It's got RISC
OS 3 as standard, and has a high-density floppy drive so it's fairly easy to
copy stuff over.

Speed should be a lot better than an ARM2 machine (eg A3000, A4x0) but a bit
slower than ARM3 (A5000).

Only real downside is that, if you wanted a machine with a hard drive, this
is the wrong one as there's no interface as standard (or rather, there's an
IDE interface but no connector), so you'd need an IDE podule for that.
