Subject: Reviving a dead BBC+

Sorry for the delay in responing. Not getting too much time to look a this
problem...

I should have mentioned that I tried both the cable and keyboard in a known
good Beeb and they work fine. Also took a good keyboard and cable an plugged
it into the broken Beeb+ but it made no difference.

Checked all the solder connections on the keyboard pins and they look fine.
Also, took the opportunity to do some keyboard checks. If the keyboard is
missing it doesn't stop the cursor from appearing on the screen and the
startup beep isn't continuous. On my faulty beeb+ I don't even get that far.
I don't see the cursor, and I have a continuous beep. I seem to have a more
fundamental hardware problem. Any other thoughts before the system VIA comes
out???
