Subject: Cub monitor fault

I'm sorry to post two questions on the list in as many days, but...

... My Cub monitor has failed. It used to work fine but now it shows its
red LED on the front but no picture. When I switch it on, it doesn't
make the characteristic but impossible to describe "on" sound - it is
just silent.

Does this sound like it might be readily fixable or should I just forget
it?
