Subject: Monitor Lead?

The Cub monitor lead is not a 7-pin lead at the monitor end, it's exactly
the same at the Cub end as the BBC end, ie. 6-pin DIN. There is another
type of lead with a 7-pin DIN at the monitor end, which I think is for some
of the Acorn monitors which also had a SCART connector, but this is not
the same connector which Cubs require.

After years of searching I have finally been able to obtain some 6-pin
DIN to 6-pin DIN leads which are high quality moulded Belkin parts, brand new
in individual sealed boxes. They are a bit long, 3 yards, but I've tested
them on a Cub monitor and they seem to work fine.

They will be going up on the BeebShop next time I get round to doing
an update, not sure of the price yet as I've forgotten what I paid for
them, but it will certainly be under a fiver. Anyone on the list can
have one at cost price (to me) plus postage.

Best wishes,

Ian

I've got a spare cable with the following:

1M in length, DIN plugs,

One end, 7 pin, all pins around the edge

T'other end 7 pins, plus one in the middle.

If that's any use you are welcome to it.

Regards,

Phil
