ooh ... bad time to point out that there was (and Repton 2)?

You only have to login once to the forum and it remembers you. :)
It's a really friendly place to share coding tips.

Sure can post back here, tho. I just wanted to make sure there was
some interest before spamming the list with multiple mails on the same
topic! The next evolution of the game, Cyroid-X, has also been
unearthed - it's similar to the Repton game, but with completely
different graphics and some gameplay changes ... There's still a lot
to do on both titles like filling out the number of levels, but it's a
pretty interesting discovery, I reckon. You can browse most of the
main pages@..., including the Repton one, without
signing up for anything if you want more info - you just can't request
an email when the pages get updated. There's not a lot of info on
Repton up there, yet - though there are a few screenshots of Cyroid-X.
More stuff will be added over time I'm told ...

Wow. Dave's gonna say I-told-you-so. I said no one would pick up an
emulator, just because I asked. He assured me it wouldn't hurt to
raise the question!

Basically, it's quite neat as it is ... but we're pretty sure, when we
get some demos out for some of the more complicated, graphical games,
that we may well hit problems. And the sound is a noticable issue.
If you do pick up the code (it's GPLv2), we'd be happy to use it :),
help test it and manage website stuff if it comes to that so that
others can benefit ...(real shame I haven't been able to get hold of
another address for Duncan).

Peter.
