Subject: SCL Unicorn Microcomputer/BBC Micro

Hi,

I recently acquired an unusual BBC Micro. See:
http://acorn.chriswhy.co.uk/Computers/SCL_BBCB.html for a description.

I did a bit of Googling and found that SCL are an Indian company and made
BBC Micros under the SCL Unicorn brand in the second half of the 1980s for
an Indian computer literacy project. But that is about all I could find. I
have some questions and would appreciate any answers:

1. Is this an SCL Unicorn or an SCL Unicorn circuit board in an old BBC
case?

2. If this is an SCL Unicorn circuit board in a BBC case what did the SCL
Unicorn case look like?

3. Was the SCL Unicorn licensed from Acorn or was it pirated?

4. How many SCL Unicorns were built and when did production stop?

5. Was Acornsoft and other UK educational software for the BBC Micro sold in
India? If so which products?

Any other information about the SCL Unicorn would be welcome..
