I'm not sure.  However, you can jump into the ROM "blind" with *fx142,n
where n is the ROM number (15 is the right hand most socket, 14 the one
next to it, etc.)

The DFS isn't a language, of course, but jumping into it should produce
something on the screen, enough to indicate whether the ROM is working
or not.
