The centre pin carries 5v, which isn't needed. Try disconnecting that in
case it's connected to something in the player upsetting it.

If I remember right (it' a long time since I saw a Domesday system), the
Master's RGB connects to the player, then the player connects to the
monitor with a SCART cable.  Tried another SCART cable? Tried the little
button on the front of the monitor next to the power switch?

The diagonal lines on

make me think it could be some kind of sync problem. Is there a button
or DIP switch on the LV player to sync the RGB sync and SCART sync
together?
