It's more than likely, in fact I guess that most, maybe all, A500s had 
one.  Acorn made quite a few things that were for internal use and never 
sold as products.  There would be no point in selling a Tube podule 
because it wouldn't be useful with anything but an A500 machine, and 
that wasn't a saleable product either -- all were intended for use 
internally or offered (with an NDA) to a small number of developers 
before the A310 launch (probably for a price).
