This means that any BBC EPROM programmer (or pretty much any non-BBC one)
could read them, or, at a pinch, you could plug them one by one into a BBC, 
and save
them to disk from there.

The EPROM programmer route would be easier, as they usually have ZIF sockets 
to make
inserting and removing the chips easier.
