Subject: PSU Failure

Hi,

Now I'm peeved, I've had two BBC power supplies go fiz and emit smelly 
smoke, seemingly from the transformer marked "high voltage" any idea 
what may have caused this.

The odd thing is the PSU still seemed to be supplying power until I hit 
the off switch.
