In the loft - I've got one beside me now I use it as my main work phone! 
One day I'll hook it up to outlook and synchronise all my contacts but
for now it's got my most used numbers in it and I use it as a power-
hungry speed-dialer!

Only trouble is those annoying "menus" the OPD won't let you put more than 
about 12 or so digits in before it has a tantrum of beeping! 

Re the prestel thing, I used it a little but only when it was some kind
of free trial for my dad at work (council computer manager) after tha
it was just BBS's.

I'm sure an email-gateway prestel thing could be knocked up in linux
fairly quickly, if it's for the beeb I'd want paying though!
