There was a momentary push-button hidden at the rear of the left-hand
side too. I couldn't quite work out what it was meant to do though, I
pressed it once and can only remember the machine crashing at some
point.

Oddly enough, I've got an Electron with the normal power socket
removed and replaced with one fitted into a hole that faces upwards
out of the case. Similarly, the previous owner had it fitted into a
piece of furniture that made it impossible to plug in the power cable
normally. The owner was from Chesterfield and I seem to remember him
having something to do with the Electron User Group, although
annoyingly I can't remember what.
