Even if it did have the processing power to decode an MPEG stream, it doesn't
have the display capability to show the output.
 
Some form of genlocked overlay of the data onto a pre-decoded video stream,
as per the original Domesday, would really be the only way to go.

Perhaps a Beeb with an ARM7 co-processor, or would that still be infeasible
without extra hardware?
