Big can of worms there :-) This has been discussed *lots* of times over on 
classiccmp (because it's not a problem limited to BBC micros).

Phil's working on a solution at the moment (USB, IIRC) which looks promising 
(even though I'd much prefer it to be SCSI ;)

In the meantime running Imagedisk on a DOS-based PC capable of writing FM 
works for me - although longer-term a Linux solution would be nicer (mainly 
because I'd like to strip the PC down to the bare minimum and control it over 
the network, and DOS it pretty limited there)

I had around 30 in the loft back in England at one point of various configs - 
I think I'm down to about ten or so now, which covers the bulk of 
soft-sectored media.
