Hi Ian,

I have experienced the same on two or thee beebs in the past. To fix it, I
just pressed down on all the socketed chips, and disconnect/reconnect the
keyboard connectors. I think you just dislodged something when you used your
multimeter. It might not be the same case with yours, but would try that
first as it is very easy to do.
