Bottom line, someone is raping and pillaging your site! I noticed there were
20 minute breathers after each hour of download on a few occasions.

You could always block the resolved IP address... Perhaps you could set up a
quota so you're not caught in the same situation again, use a CAPTCHA once a
certain limit has been exceeded?
