You think wrong good sir :-)

You can't change the address directly, but I can supply an alternative PAL 
that maps to a different address range. If you have one of my boards with 
the PAL in a socket (as all my later ones do), then it's just a case of 
swapping it over. If anyone needs this functionality, let me know.
