No, BDFS only worked on 3.6/3.7 (I know this because I wrote it). It would
run on RISC OS 4 but it was largely redundant with the F+ format. Most of
the ones for 3.1 seemed to be come with their own controllers, such as
ICS's ideA.
I don't know if a copy of the newer ADFS would run on the A4 (or could be
made to run) - is the source available from the RISC OS open thing?
