Sorry if this sounds like a rant, but I feel these things need to be 
said, again !

Then with the gratest respect to the list admin, they are being
deliberatly obstructive. If this list where software, being charged for,
and there where similally priced alternatives, deliberatly ignoring the
requests of the users would serve to drive the users to the competitor's 
products.

My guess is that the vast majority of the people on this list would want 
  the reply behavior to be as most other lists are, by default replying 
to the list ? If this is the case it strikes me that not listening to 
the majority of the users strikes me as selfish at best.

I Guess when you are in a monopoly you can do what the hell you like.

You wouldn't happen to be using exim as an MTA would you ? if so any
hints ?
