Subject: Finding file information from .zips
Just a very quick question. I "know" this has been answered before
(sorry) but I am unable to find it to familiarise myself.
Basically, if you grab a .zip containing a few files and then extract
the .zip on Windows, although the files are present attempting to add
them to either ADFS / DFS explorer or BBC explorer, there is no
information (load and exec addresses etc)
A good example of what I mean is one of these two .zips
www.mdfsnet.f9.co.uk/Mirror/Archive/Acorn/ (for my specific case the
CompWelc.zip file)
www.mdfsnet.f9.co.uk/Apps/Networking/FServers/ (and here for Level3FS.zip)
I know I have overlooked something really obvious, but if anyone can
point me to the correct utility (pc side would be easier as I can then
make an image to xfer over) I would really appreciate it :)
While I'm here, JGH's excellent patched WFSInit is present in that
second .zip file. One is called WFSInit and the other is WFSInitFull ,
which one do I use for "large" (formatted with ADFS to 500 mb or so)
drives please ?
From reading and researching the list last night I understand one of
those has been modified to read the actual disk size, rather than the
space map so it will work correctly with a large drive, as I understand
the original one will come apart a bit with drives bigger than about 60mb.
Thanks, and I hope that makes sense :)
Andy.
