Punchdown terminals aren't a bad idea, yeah.  I guess in extremis you
could just solder wires into the holes where the RJ45 socket would go,
but it should be easy enough to make provision for a couple of Krone
blocks as well.

Finding a box is always a bit of a tedious business.  Any suggestions?
You probably need something with internal dimensions 90x30x25mm or
thereabouts.
