That implies a Gateway and a router are the same but they are not. A gateway
would in most scenarios convert protocols a router wouldn't - it would relay
packets. Routers are not involved in protocol translation.
So really the device that Phil and I have been working on would be best
referred to as a Gateway as that is able to operate at all layers.
