Subject: BBC B ROMs with Tube Host
The Tube Code must have been added to the 1770 DFS at some point then. The 1770
disc upgrade fitting instructions don't really say, although there is a table
showing what you might already have and what you should remove or
retain when performing the 1770 upgrade.
The 6502 second processor manual doesn't seem to deal with the point,
but this predates the (Acorn) 1770 disc interface so it's not surprising.
I couldn't find any reference to the Tube code in the text file for DFS
versions found in the Acorn filing system ROMs section of "the BBC Lives"

It's definately in DFS 2.26, as I have machines running just that which work
with the tube ok.

I thought that the Tube code was only in DNFS. I think if you take out
a DNFS ROM in a 1770 BBC Model B then the Tube will stop working. I'm
not sure whether the Tube host was put into the B+ OS. Again I suspect
you will need DNFS in a B+ as well.

Does anyone know, or know of a definitive list of, which BBC B/B+ ROMs have
the Tube Host code included?
So far, I know that the standard DNFS ROM (DFS 1.20, NFS 3.60) does, as does
the Acorn 1770 DFS ROM, but the Acorn ADFS doesn't.
Also, has anyone looked at extracting the Tube code, to allow it to be added
to another ROM on systems that don't have or need either of these ROMs?
