The point being, what would you do/think if every file had metadata 
stuck at the end of it which only showed up outside of the BBC 
environment... You are using a RISC OS intermediary, judging by the 
settype. Well, if your Master had ethernet and you had some ftp client 
code, you could go directly BBC Master -> Internet [*]. But, not if 
it'll have stuff appended.

* - I bet there isn't one single Internet worm/virus/hack/vulnerability 
in existence that would hit your Master. Hehe, I wonder what nmap would 
make of it? :-)
