If in doubt I would swap all three of the line interface ICs (i.e. the
AM26LS31 driver plus the two LM319 receivers).  My experience has tended
to be that the LM319s are actually a bit more fragile than the drivers.

But, if you've got multiple modules which are all exhibiting the same
fault, it does seem more likely that it's something wrong with the
network wiring itself.  Might be worth checking your terminators with a
multimeter to make sure that they're still terminating.
