Subject: Master ethernet upgrade

I did have an e-mail exchange with the creator when I was looking at creating
one of those to fit an Econet interface to the Beeb.

That confirmed that as well as the wobbly connections, the original design
had the D+ and D- pins swapped, meaning it wouldn't work without either a
modified uplink cable, or a mod to the board.

I got most of the CAD work done towards recreating the design, but decided
it would be simpler and more reliable to remove the 68B54 from the Master
module, and fit the Econet interface in the standard way.

Regards

Michael

Was just googling about for something else, and found this:
http://www.tea-with.me.uk/index.php?cid=2340
looks like all the original design info, etc, for the adapter board in
Ian's beeb. Project Document confirms that it's the cheap ic sockets
that are to blame for the unreliability..
