Perhaps that's just expressed badly (I'm not exactly sure what Michael
means by "multi-box"), but it's not correct. The A305, A310, A310M,
A3000, and A3020 all have red function keys because they're affiliated
to the BBC; the first three of these are multi-box machines and the
other two are single-box. The A410, A440, A410/1, A420/1, A440/1, R140,
and successors (A4000, R260, A540, A5000 etc) all have grey function
keys, and are all multi-box; of these, the A440 and A410 are
contemporary with the A305/310 and all up to the R140 are either
contemporary with or predate the 3000. The A3010 has green function
keys as it's purely intended as a home machine.
