What goes wrong with other operations?  According to the documentation,
or at least my recollection of it, the only significant difference
between the Atom and later machines is that the Atom leans more heavily
on the fileserver for command line decoding (i.e. it expects the
fileserver to parse commands like *SAVE for it, whereas Beebs and later
machines will do that internally and then issue a "Save File" request
directly to the server).
