Actually, that reminds me: I want to minimise the chances of any X2 capacitors
going pop on the day (as that kind of thing would scare the crap out of the
hotel staff) so I would ask people not to bring BBCs unless they've had them
up and running [recently!] for several hours without smoke eminating from the
PSUs etc. ;)

I initially thought I had that problem with a Beeb I took to the RCM do in
Leicestershire this past May. Turned out a switch inside the [Cub] monitor was
culpable (Alex Taylor can provide more detail as he sorted it all out for me!
:) ).

Well, assuming you've got room in the car, the Cub, Philips, + [modern] telly
would certainly be good to have as backup.
