No, a set of PDP-8 circuit boards worth about 100 times the price of a 
Beeb beats most things :-)

Industrially, I know some small PCB production houses use 
only-slightly-modified dishwashers for de-fluxing at the end of the 
production line.

Perhaps I should have made it clear that the dishwasher is good for 
circuit boards but I wouldn't put a whole Beeb into one.  In general, 
check first for components that might be damaged by the water or need 
more careful drying -- labels, some types of relays switches or 
potentiometers (not a problem on a Beeb, though), components in RF cans 
(like the Beeb's modulator).  Don't use the normal amount of dishwasher 
detergent either, because most domestic dishwasher detergents are quite 
caustic.
