I missed it but will watch it on iPlayer tonight :)

Regarding Manic Miner, (and also Elite as you say) I'd guess they did 
not take note of the years in that much detail, although I'd (guess) 
Matthew Smith may have had most of Manic Miner written in '82 (random guess)
