It's one of the things I need to push about DataCentre. Some people are
still seeing it as a "storage only" device, whereas it isn't. It has onboard
a full USB 2.0 Host, that can connect and talk to up to 16 USB 2.0 capable
devices and hubs you care to plug into it. For each device, there of course
needs to be a driver, USB drives are already supported, and I've already
demonstrated using USB Keyboards, Mice and Joysticks on the system with
short Basic programs, so it's not rocket science. I had a PSP connected to
it at the Risc OS show.
I've already got the outlines for a combined keyboard, mouse and joystick
driver utility, either as separates in RAM, or as a ROM - not decided yet -
but it's an indication of the way I'd like to progress the system.
Mark.
