I doubt that would work. It is probably UK-centric, and my postal code
covers one town and three communes!

It's a "village" (commune) of about 280 people. How big does it need to
be if it is digital? It is, from memory, about the height up to my neck,
width about that of a wardrobe and depth... umm... maybe a foot and a
half? I bet you could run in power and fibre-optic and have enough
processing to cope with the commune's needs plus a bit in that space...
But, yes, it might just be a bloody big patch panel.
If it helps, it wasn't there about four-five years ago, so it's fairly
recent whatever it is.
