I've also found that after about 20 "recycles" on the pads I purchased, the
plastic starts to go brittle and leak!

But I leave them in my car un-used, just in case I get caught in the
snow/ice! (with my other snow/ice gear for the winter, shovel, towels,
blankets, grit/salt!)
