Is it possible, then, that this version was written with the Master in
mind? It would seem strange to remove clock interface code from a server
which has numerous dependencies on the date and time... unless it is
aimed at a machine which is likely to have NVRAM within.

Is there access to Master style NVRAM? Erm... this is also VIA access,
but at &FE40 onwards (system VIA, "slow bus").

Best wishes,

Rick.
