Also there's the problem of room, the connectors are 2x15 way, the 
nearest IDC that I am aware of is 34way 2x17, and there isn't really 
room either side of the connectors to fit them.

You can't use something like a 2x32 either as the gap between the two 
connectors is not a multiple of the 0.1" pin spacing annoyingly.

Though maybe http://www.rapidonline.com/ cat no 22-2365 note you'll also 
need the contacts which are sold seperatly, though annoyingly enough 
only in a real of 500 22-1096, which for me is ok as I use those 
regually. Maplins do compatible contacts YW25C in strips of 10 at 69p 
each but don't supply the 15 way enclosures....
