Only the second I recall, actually. Hard to remember how long I've been around 
on the list to see discussions on this matter, but it's been years (I'm not 
sure of the list's history; actually, I think I first recall a beeb list at 
York uni - where you are - in the first half of the 90s, but I don't know if 
this list morphed out of that one or if the two are unconnected).

It's hard to put into words how much I loathe the header setup for this list - 
at least not without a profanity ratio approaching 1.0 :-) Unfortunately I 
don't run a local mail server any more, so there's not an easy and logical way 
for me to rewrite headers.

Actually, JOOI, how many other lists have folk been on that are set up this 
way? It's the *only* one I've ever found, but I'm willing to believe that I've 
just been spectacularly lucky.
