Subject: The whole "reply to" issue

Can't see what the fuss is about. If you want to reply to the originator
hit reply. If you want to reply to the group, hit reply-all. It's
relatively simple, can't believe why so many people get so worked up about
it.

I use Outlook?. When I want to reply to the one person who wrote the post, I
click Reply To; if I want to reply to everybody, I click Reply to All. That
works. It fills the To box with the private person and the list address
(either of which I can delete if I want to -- I usually remove the single
address to stop the recipient getting the reply twice).

I couldn't be bothered to read the other 120 mails on this topic. Did
someone have a problem?

I agree with you.

Of the email clients I use, Mutt and Claws Mail provide "Reply to List"
out of the box. Thunderbird needs an add-on to provide the function (as
discussed on the list recently). Alpine doesn't provide the functionality as
far as I can see. Evolution drives me insane if I try to use it, but I
don't believe it does Reply to List.

You'll notice I'm not a Windows user. If I were, I wouldn't use LookOut or
LookOut Express because they've had security problems in the past (and the
malware authors target those clients as that's what they assume most people
will be using).
